This month our guest speaker is Lynne Dooly-Marek who will demonstrate working with complimentary colours.
About Lynn Dooly-Marek:
Lynn is an international award-winning artist who was born in Montreal, raised in England and studied in France. Childhood summers were spent in Athens, Greece, where her grandfather was stationed as Canadian Ambassador.
For decades, Lynn exhibited in art shows. Her series Bistro & Marché of the World continues to be an ongoing success story.
Her art hangs on walls around the world. An original hangs in the office of the Mayor of Toronto. Her work was featured twice on the back covers of Readers Digest.
Lynn teaches figure/life drawing to the animation students at Durham College.
Lynn has received the order of the Arts-Sciences-Lettres de Paris, an old academic/arts society in France dedicated to the education and encouragement of the arts and sciences. Albert Schweitzer, Marie Curie, Yehudi Menuhin, and Jacques Cousteau are a few of their members. It began in 1915.
Her paintings were displayed in le Salon des Beaux Arts @ the Carrousel de Louvre, Paris, France in 2016, 2017, 2018. Founded in 1855, it was created for the Impressionists to display their paintings.
