This month our guest speaker is Sandy Mackenzie who will demonstrate the wonders of knife painting.

About Sandy Mackenzie:

Every artist likes to try different paths with their painting techniques and painting with a knife is Sandra's. Taught by her mother, who was a knife painter, Sandra carries on the techniques to her paintings of cityscapes, and landscapes. She teaches knife painting in Cobourg, Port Perry, and Oshawa Senior Centres.

An oil painter since the age of nine, her work has developed into the classical style of painting. Still-life and portraits are her passion. Sandy is also able to carry her fine art into graphite and charcoal, maintaining a quiet calmness in each piece of work. Born of French Canadian heritage, she paints by the name of Goguen which is her signature on all her earliest works before marriage. Now residing in Oshawa, her studio is open to the public.
