Dear Members,
In these unprecedented times, it is crucial that we all do our part to keep our community safe. As such, the OAA supports the steps taken by public health officials to slow the spread of COVID-19. In order to adhere to social distancing protocols, the OAA Membership Meetings have been suspended until further noticed.
We know this is difficult for all and we appreciate all of your continued support during this trying period.
Your OAA Board of Directors
NOTE: This month, our guest speaker was going to be James Goodliff.
James Goodliff is known for his bold and colourful landscape paintings. Using a rich and vibrant colour palette, Goodliff’s works show a deep understanding and appreciation of the natural world. Painting both en plein air as well as in his studio, the artist is constantly investigating scale, depth, movement, colour, and light through Impressionist brushwork. He finds inspiration in a patchwork of light on the forest floor, the sparkle of rippling water, long grass dancing in a field, and even a stormy sky.
Goodliff has a Bachelor of Art from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) and a Diploma in Commercial Illustration and Graphic Design from Niagara College. He accepts commission work and his work is found in national and international collections, both corporate and private.
