Join Mary Gartlan in her workshop on plein air painting in Orillia, Ontario.

A beautiful lake for scenery. In October there will be a rainbow of fall colours. Let your imagination take over. This is open to all artists and any medium. Bring your paint supplies, an easel and lawn chair. Park at Mary’s house. It is open for your lunches and any other convenience.

OAA Members $40 | Non-OAA Members $50

Registration by cheque and e-transfer to oshawa.art.association@gmail.com is also accepted. The participants are responsible for all their own supplies, transportation and proper clothing for the fall weather. Should the workshop be cancelled due to rain, then payment will be returned.

-Directions to location: on Hwy 12, before you go over the bridge into Orillia, turn left at the lights on Creighton St. S. There is a drive through Tim’s at the corner.

About the Instructor:
Mary started in art at a young age. Mostly working with pastels and sketching. She has a passion for Bears which has taken her to appreciate their landscape habitat which has also influenced her subject for her work. She has taught sketching and watercolour for nine years with the Durham Board of Education at Night School. Also, as an instructor for the Oshawa Senior Centres. Her work is in private collections in Canada, United States, Europe and Australia. Landscape painting, mostly plein air, is her passion. Whether it is with oil, pastel or pen and ink, Mary has captured the beauty of the landscape. Now residing lakeside in Orillia, her most recent paintings will be full of beauty.
